After studying the consumer response, demand and supply dynamics in more markets, Mumbai-based food ordering app, TinyOwl has launched its services in Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Gurgaon. Also, it is targeting a presence in 50 cities by the end of 2015. The firm will underline its presence across major restaurant partners in these cites.
In February this year, the app has raised $15 million in its series B round led by Matrix Partners with participation from existing investors Sequoia Capital and Nexus Venture Partners.
Launched in March 2014 by five IIT Bombay alumni, the company enables consumers to order food through their mobile phones and gets it delivered to their doorstep. Currently, the app is available for Android and iOS users. Payments can either be made via the app using credit cards or through cash-on delivery.
Two days back, Bengaluru-based food tech startup Dazo (previously called Tapcibo) had raised a new round of funding from Sumit Jain (co-founder and CEO, CommonFloor), Aprameya Radhakrishna (co-founder, TaxiForSure), Alok Goel (former CEO, FreeCharge).
