Delhi-based KleverKid, an online search portal to view afterschool and extracurricular activities for school children, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Aarin Capital that is backed by Ranjan Pai and T V Mohandas Pai. The new funding will be used for expansion into Mumbai and Bengaluru in next two months, and an overall of six Tier-I cities within the year.
The round also saw participation from angel investors including Sunil Kaul of The Carlyle Group, Anand Kallugadde, CEO of Neobytes and impact investor Maina Sahi. KleverKid was founded in 2013 by Shabnam Aggarwal, it is a web based marketplace that enables parents to search after school coach, tutor, workshop, teacher and programs for their kids by providing them user generated reviews, pricing, ratings, images, blogs, videos etc. Currently, it operates in Delhi/NCR only.
Other firms which operating in the similar space include FindURClass.com, a search and discovery platform that connects class seekers of extracurricular activities and hobbies to educators, had raised Rs 1.5 crore in seed round from Venture Nursery in November 2014.Category Investments Startups
