Micromax subsidiary, YU has launched their next smartphone in YU series at a launch event happened at Delhi. Cyanogen OS 12 powered YU YUphoria is priced at Rs 6,999 in India. The registration will be open at 5pm today only on Amazon and the first sale is on May 28th.

Apart from this, the company has also unveiled smart fitness wristband called as YuFit having a price tag of Rs 999, and scheduled to go on sale next month. It will give competition to the Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi’s Mi band, which was also recently launched in India. Connecting to smartphones via Bluetooth, it is compatible for both Android and iOS smartphones, measures step tracking, sleep tracking, distance walked and calories burnt.
Micromax has also released a health kit – HealthYU to measure body vitals, do ECG test, blood-oxygen saturation, heart rate, check skin temperature, respiration rate and blood pressure. It is priced at Rs 4,999 and will also be live next month.
All the products have been launched under Micromax’s YU brand, appears that the company is following the footsteps of international tech companies like Apple and Samsung by having a grand unveiling of multiple products in the same event.
