Google has announced new original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for its Chromebooks in India – Xolo and Nexian, both powered by its web-based Chrome OS platform. Nexian Chromebook is available at Amazon for Rs 13,499, currently It’s on sale for Rs 12,999, while Xolo’s device retails for Rs 13,999 from Snapdeal.
Chromebooks will be used particularly for education purposes, as Google claims some specific use cases for classrooms allowing students to collaborate better and also use these devices for their exams. Lets have a look on these new devices.
The Xolo Chromebook has a 11.6 inch, 1366×768 pixels display, a Rockchip RK3288 Quad-Core Cortex-A17 CPU, 2GB RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. It features 4200 mAH battery, with battery life of 8.5 hours, allowing users to run multiple apps all day without needing to recharge and having a Keyboard, enabling the user to type at a decent clip.
In terms of features, the Nexian Chromebook essentially having the same internals. It is available in white color and also support eMMC and SD Card.
Last month, Google also launched a new device in its Chromebook family, called Chromebit that turns any TV in to a Chrome OS computer.
