Hyderabad-based Red Sprout Foods Pvt. Ltd. which runs under the brand, Hello Curry, a food on-demand startup has acquired online food ordering and delivery service Paratha Post in a cash and stock deal. As part of the deal, Mukesh Lamba, Founder of Paratha Post, will oversee Hello Curry’s expansion in to Delhi/NCR market by June.
Paratha Post is also based out of Hyderabad, as a venture of Mukesh Lamba and Rituraj, it has 55 varieties of parathas and curries on its menu. It claims to have sold around 3 lakh parathas last year and executed 60,000 delivery transactions. It is an online ordering and delivery venture.
The one year old startup Hello Curry has five outlets in Hyderabad and will add three more in the next few months. In Bengaluru, it opened two outlets recently, and plans to add three more in the next few months. In march 2014, the firm had secured rs 3 crore in seed funding from SRI Capital, and also in the process of raising Rs 50 crore in a Series-A round of funding in next 2-3 months.
