Askme.com, the consumer oriented internet firm has bought ‘Bestatlowest’ a Delhi based online grocery shopping marketplace for about $10 Mn (Rs 63 Cr).
According to the deal, BestAtLowest will operate as a part of Askme and the company will expand its search capabilities and enable real time inventory sync between online and physical stores.
The grocery startup will be turned to ‘askmegroceries.com’ later this year, as the the eCommerce portal and its team of 25 people, which includes Founders, become a part of Askme group, states DealCurry.
BestAtLowest is an online grocery store in Delhi/NCR founded in 2013 by Ankit Nigam and Amit Nigam. The startup already hosts over 7,000 products across categories spread in the FMCG and non-FMCG sectors.
With this inquisition, Askme enters the competitive online grocery segment which sees the likes of Localbanya, Grofers, Peppertap and Bigbasket.
