Bangalore based API management suite, Postman has raised $1 million in seed funding from Nexus Venture Partners.
Postman, provides a set of tools to help developers manage REST (Representational State Transfer) APIs. The tools are available in the form of a Chrome app that lets users build, test and document API requests more efficiently than writing code and testing them using traditional command line tools. The management suite also lets developers save API requests, so that they can change parameters and re-send the API requests again.
Postman was founded in 2013 by Abhinav Asthana (CEO), Ankit Sobti (CTO) and Abhijit Kane (Product Architect). The current team consists of just 9 people, according to Techcrunch.
The app is reportedly being used by over a million developers globally at present. Users can download a limited version of the suite for free and the full version which costs $49 per month for up to 10 developers, is also available on the platform.
