Twitter has officially launched its ‘retweet with comment’ feature, that allows users to retweet with a comment of their own in a separate box. The new feature allows users to embed a tweet in their own tweets, which lets them get around Twitter’s 140-character limit when they add commentary of their own.

As per a TOI report, the new feature is currently available for the web and iPhone app, and soon will be available on its Android app. When user clicks on a retweet button, a pop-up will appear with a quote tweet option. Clicking on it will allow user to add their own comments in a box before retweeting the tweet. Once submitted, it will be shared with their followers as a quote tweet.

User can also delete a quote tweet by clicking on the More Icon (…) and select delete tweet. The feature allows people to share and comment on tweets without having to shorten the length, which means that its context and meaning is preserved.
