Acquires Exam Preparation Platform EasyPrep

Online test preparation platform has acquired EasyPrep for an undisclosed amount. EasyPrep’s Founders Vivek Sharma and Ankit Saraswat have joined Toppr as assistant product managers as part of this deal.

EasyPrep is a customized exam creation platform for schools, coaching institutes and teachers and an exam preparation platform for students. It provides an online/offline platform for schools, coaching institutes and teachers to create exam papers for the their classroom teaching, for students assessment and for helping students prepare for competitive examinations.

Founded in 2013, has built a base of over one lakh subscribers on its platform. It provides test preparation for IIT JEE entrance exams, pre-medical tests and VIII, IX, and X students planning to pursue science. It is backed by SAIF Partners and Helion, and had raised Rs 12 crore in funding in 2012.

Other players in this space include online education startup SuperProfs, which had secured $3 million in series A round led by Kalaari capital and IDG Ventures India in 2014. In March last year, Delhi based education marketplace, GradeStack had also raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Times Internet.
