Custom made furniture seller Stitchwood.com is on the verge of receiving a funding of around $716,000 from angel investors. The deal is supposed to go down within the next two-three months.
Stitchwood was founded by IIT Bombay alumni Ajit Shegaonkar and Vikas Nair. The company offers the customer an experience to customise their own furniture and even upload pictures or designs as per their wishes. When a customer places an order, it is outsourced to a vendor, post which the company’s quality check team monitors the product’s manufacturing, at the vendor’s factory.
With the new funding, Stitchwood intends to add a new feature which will arrange for a home visit by a furniture expert to a customers place. Further, it will also increase its employees headcount as reported by BS.
The company had recently received $100,000 funding from Bridge Equity.Category Investments Startups
