TLabs’ Seventh Batch Launches with Seven Startups

TLabs, an initiative of Times Internet, has announced its seventh Batch of start-ups which started in March this year, with each start-up providing solutions across a variety of markets. Including this batch, the portfolio count of TLabs has gone up to 43 startups.

The startups are spread across domains like publishing, cloud and education, marketing & analytics etc. TLabs now invests $50,000 (Rs 30 lakh) for an equity stake of 8% and till last year it typically invested around Rs 10 lakh for 10% stake in an incubated company.

Brief description of startups that are part of this batch:

Hangoutt: The startup helps developers increase app monetization and boost user engagement, by rewarding the users, in-app, with real world branded rewards. It partners with more than 400 brands across 10+ countries.

Meet University: A university research portal with 2000+ international universities and 45000 + courses are listed on its network. Students get personalized guidance and can engage with universities directly through the website.

Pratilipi: It is a platform that connects Indian writers and readers. It includes books, stories, poems, articles, magzines in Hindi, Gujarati and Tamil languages.

MintM: MintM is an advertising platform which brings context, tracking and analytics capabilities similar to online advertising into real world. Its customers and partners are Hypercity, Tesco, and Harpic among others.

Customer Labs: It helps businesses to understand their customers better and enables them to pro-actively target, engage and personalize the customer life cycle via its predictive customer analytics platform.

Home Triangle: It is a marketplace for home related services required by today’s savvy homeowners for efficiently designed, glitch free, better homes.

Epaathsala: It is a provider of cloud based solution for accreditation and compliance management of higher education institutions.

TLabs will open applications for its next batch on May 1. Interested starups can apply here. The accelerator had also launched its second centre in Bengaluru.
