Lifestyle International, owned by Dubai-based Landmark group, will launch eCommerce sites for all three retail formats it operated in India – Lifestyle, Max and HomeCentre.
As per a BusinessInsider report, the company will be launching the eCommerce sites by the first half of the next year, starting with Lifestyle. Home Centre and Max’s e-stores will come up later in the year.
Lifestyle’s primary competitor Shoppers Stop already launched its e-store with delivery across major cities in India in 2008. Future Group’s Big Bazaar had also launched an online store for its direct selling service Bigbazaar Direct in August 2014. Future Group also tied up with Amazon to sell goods online. In past, it had made tie-ups with Flipkart and Myntra.
Lifestyle’s in-house brands like Code, Ginger & Fame Forever and licensee brands such as Bossini and UCLA are already available on Flipkart, Myntra, Snapdeal and Jabong. Hence, it appears that the brand is getting good enough online traction to launch its own e-store.
