Indian Mobile Learning App iProf Hits 1M Downloads

Indian mobile learning marketplace app, iProf has achieved 1 million downloads on the Google Play Store in a period of 4 months since its launch.

iProf application is available on Android platform giving users features like courses from India’s renowned teachers, unlimited practice tests, videos & notes Library, quick discussion board & doubt clearing service.

The company recently introduced a feature where students can now access the entire course, chapter wise ‘offline’ and view them without an active internet connection anytime and anywhere at very nominal charges. They can find the best tutors in their locality according to their preferences as well as can get free trial classes.

Students can also consult a teacher at any time for doubts and can have a discussion and debates with a single swipe. The app offers choice to students to select and study from various teachers on different selection criteria like course wise, subject wise and even topic wise.

In January 2014, the firm had received $9 million in series B round of funding led by Daily Mail Group Information (DMGI) along with participation from existing investors, Norwest Venture Partners and IDG Ventures India. Prior to that, it raised $6 million series A funding in 2011.
