Bengaluru-based fashion eCommerce company, EatShopLove has secured $3.5 million in angel funding from a London-based unnamed investor. As per an ET report, the company aims to utilize the new funds for hiring a dedicated design team, setting up manufacturing units as well as increase its presence to Delhi and Mumbai. In October 2014, ESL has raised $1 million in seed funding.
The company has moved from being a vendor-sourcing model to creation of an exclusive brand with in-house designers and its first in-house collection will be launched by this upcoming July. At the same time, the firm plans to offers 24-hour delivery.
Founded in May 2014 by Co-Founder Oindrila Sengupta, it comes with an aim to meet the needs of urban women who enjoy the autonomy of choosing their own lifestyle when it comes to fashion and travel. The startup now delivers 175-200 orders per day with an average ticket size of Rs 900.
