Chinese dinner dating app Qingchifan has raised series B round of funding. The round was led by Vertex Ventures, and saw participation from Sequoia Capital. However, the total amount of funding and amount of participation from investors hasn’t been disclosed yet.
The app is very similar to ‘Momo’, another dating app which has become china’s 3rd largest social networking platform according to techinasia. Qingchifan lets the user create a profile, view other users nearby, filter out men or women, and start chatting. All profiles are public. They consist of a profile picture plus any other photos the user wants to show, it also provides basic profile of users such as height, gender, income, profession, and other info.
The app was launched last year in February and already has a user base of over 10 million. Qingchefan boasts of 45% of its users being female and the average user age is 23 and a half. the app is available in iOS, Android and Windows.Category Startups
