Customer Support Company Interactions Raises $9.5M

After buying AT&T’s ‘Watson’ speech recognition platform in exchange for an undisclosed amount of equity, customer support company Interactions has now raised $9.5 million, as per a filing with SEC. The company hasn’t shared its plans with the new funding. The latest round brings the total capital of the company is $62.5 million.

The company has acquired Watson speech recognition platform in order to integrate and further drive development of a new generation of advanced speech and multi-modal services.

Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Franklin, Massachusetts, Interactions develops and markets natural language understanding technology used by Fortune 500 companies worldwide. Built on its Adaptive-Understanding technology that integrates both human and machine intelligence, the company provides highly conversation virtual assistant solutions. Companies like Hyatt, Humana, Best Western, TXU Energy, AllConenct and Asurion deploy Interactions’s solutions.

Its sales, service and support solutions are delivered across any device with type, touch and talk capabilities, and have handled 1 billion transactions to date.
