Twitter seems too inclined towards video sharing, as reports of buying Periscope, a video sharing app start-up have come up. According to a VentureBeat report, Twitter has bought the app for a sizable 50$ million.

Earlier this month, speculations regarding talks between both the companies were reported, gaining attention to Twitter’s  ‘Video obsession’.

Twitter launched its first consumer video feature this January.

Meerkat, a video sharing app, specifically designed for Twitter, is already causing a storm on the social website. Buying of another video sharing app can only be explained as Twitter’s desire to dominate the social video sharing scene.
