Job Seeking Platform ‘Round One’ Raises $1M Funding

New Delhi based job seeking portal Round One, has raised funding of $1 million in pre-series round of funding led by HT Group’s and angel investor Arun Duggal of Infoedge.

As per a YourStory report, the company aims to utilized the raised funds in hiring, product development and marketing. Also, the company plans to expand to overseas market and going further, it will test US markets and explore synergies with other job seeking platforms in India.

Round One was found in 2011, since then it has acquired over 2 million registered job seekers. In January 2013, the company introduced a membership model for Rs 50, which enables job seekers to speak to a company’s insiders on the phone to earn job referral.

The startup lets job seekers buy 30 minute guaranteed phone interviews with employees in their dream company. During the interview, the employee evaluates the candidate and decides whether to refer them internally for a job, which would prioritize the application.
