Huawei Unveils Honor 4X and Honor 6 Plus Phablets In India

To expand its Honor family of devices, Huawei has launched two new phablets in Indian market – Honor 4X and Honor 6 Plus, to be available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart. Honor 4X will be available at Rs 10,499 and will go on sale on March 30, 2015, and Honor 6 Plus will be available sometime next month for a price of Rs 26,499.

Configurations and Specifications

Honor 4X

Honor 4X will come with 5.5 inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display (1280×720 pixels resolution), powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card.

The device has a 3 megapixel autofocus rear camera and 5MP front facing camera and also additional features like geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, and High Dynamic Range (HDR). Further, it features a 3,000 mAh battery. It runs on the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system with Huawei Emotion 3.0 user interface.

Honor 6 Plus

Honor 6 Plus will be available with 5.5 inch FHD TFT capacitive touchscreen display (1920×1080 pixels resolution), powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 925 processor, 3GB of RAM, along with a 32GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card. The device also features dual parallel 8MP autofocus rear camera and  an 8MP front facing camera.

Its connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 3G, and 4G LTE, as well as a microUSB port and a microSD card slot. The company has provided a 3,600 mAh battery in the device.

Apart from this, Huawei  had released its first Android Wear smartwatch at the Mobile World Congress, that is expected to arrive mid-June 2015 just a few months after Apple Watch is expected to ship. The price details are still undisclosed. The company had also unveiled two new wearable devices – Talkband B2 activity tracker and N1 earbud Hybrid.

In September 2014, the company had released a limited edition of its high-end Ascend P7 phone with a sapphire glass display. In January 2014, it had introduced four smartphones in India viz. Ascend G700, G610, Y511 and Y320.
