Virtual Reality gear and its future possibilities seems to have taken Google’s curiosity as the next big thing!
According to a TOI report, Google is making a version of its android operating system to power virtual reality apps as it does for smartphones.
The report says that the California-based company has set up a team of ‘tens of engineers’ to build the version of the operating system that can be integrated in future devices such as VR Headgear. It also declared Google’s intention of making it free for all devices much like it’s smartphone version.
Virtual Reality Headgear devices by competitors made headlines at Game Developers Conference in San Francisco as well as in World Mobile Conference Barcelona, past week.
Giving clear indications to where the tech biggies are headed for.
The step seems essential as competitor Facebook is reportedly making adequate apps for VR headsets already.
