Online dating app, TrulyMadly has raised Rs 35 crore from Helion Venture Partners and Kae Capital in Series A Round. The raised funds will be used for content addition and customer acquisition.
As per a VCCircle report, Ritesh Banglani from Helion Venture Partners and Sasha Mirchandani of Kae Capital will join the board of the company.
The app is available for Android and iOS users. To join the dating club, user need to sign up for free. The app asks details about user likes, dislikes, interests, hobbies, etc. It then filters down profiles of suitable matches. Also, user can ‘like’ or ‘hide’ matches without them knowing it.
The app asks for user authentic ID proofs to social profiles and employment records and profile will only be viewed by the ones whom the app sorts out for user. And user will receive messages only from the profiles they have liked. The app claims to be registering 100 percent month on month (MoM) growth in downloads, with women users making up over 35 percent of all app downloads.
The app was co-founded by Sachin Bhatia, Hitesh Dhingra and Rahul Kumar in August 2014. It allows singles discover each other through shared interests and personality profiles. The company’s competitor Thrill recently raised funding from Shaadi.com.
