Cloud solutions company, 8K Miles Software Services has acquired a clinical research software startup, Mindprint Inc. for a deal amount of $400,000 in cash and stock. The amount includes $150,000 in cash and $250,000 worth of stock of 8K Miles’ US subsidiary.
As part of the deal, Prasad A Sristi, president of Mindprint, will take on the role of VP, product management and business development at 8K Miles. The deal is expected to be closed before 31 March 2015, that includes acquisition of intellectual property, client contracts and employees.
Mindprint focuses on analytics and operational software for Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) and pharmaceutical firms based in Markham, Ontario (Canada).
8K Miles is a cloud solutions and managed service company, which provides SMAC (social, mobile, analytics and cloud) solutions for connectivity between consumers, SMBs, enterprises and government agencies.
8K Miles which is based out in Chennai, had also acquired FuGen Solutions for USD 7.5 Million in 2013. The firm had also bought US-based SERJ Solutions, a provider of custom application development, and support solutions for the healthcare market in November 2014.
