Google and Twitter have renewed their friendly terms. Twitter will grant access to its tweets to Google. In the first half of 2015, Google search results will also show relevant tweets.
Now Twitter will directly feed its information to Google and the Tweets will display as soon as they are posted. This renewed partnership between Google and Twitter is similar to the old agreement during 2009-2011 that eventually was discontinued by Twitter because of its former Chief Operating Officer, Ali Rowghani wanted the right to Twitter’s content exclusively with the company only.
Twitter Chief Executive Officer Dick Costolo wants tweets to be seen by more non-users and generating more advertising revenue from a larger audience, as reported by Bloomberg. Twitter provides its data to Microsoft’s Bing search service and Yahoo Inc. now aims to draw traffic towards its website from Google as well.
