Bengaluru-based mobile travel app, Trip38 has raised $1 million in seed round from InterGlobe Technology Quotient, a part of the promoter group of IndiGo airlines and Singapore-based Lantern Capital.
As per a VCCircle report, the raised funding will be used for marketing, customer acquisition and enhancing technology.
Started in 2014 by Niranjan Gupta, Seshadri Krishnan and Markish R, the startup is a location aware mobile app that offers travel assistance like providing relevant updates for check in alerts etc. Also, it provides context sensitive content in terms of flight e-tickets, flight status, airport information, sightseeing options, restaurants, local events, weather, hotel offers, deals, embassy information etc.
Trip38 offers information of more than 350,000 hotels and 180,000 site-seeing options across the world. The app aims to act as a user’s personal travel assistant providing all the required assistance, tips and recommendations during their travel. Also, the company is working on providing features like introducing mobile boarding passes for airlines.Category Investments Startups
