Chinese mobile handset maker, Oppo has launched a new smartphone Oppo Mirror 3 which runs on a customized Android operating system ColorOS, available at Rs 16,999 in India. The company already offers a number of smartphones that include N1, Ni mini, R1, R5, Find 7a, Find 5 mini, Neo, Joy and Yoyo, apart from Mirror 3.
The smartphone has a 4.7 inch HD IPS LCD display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB internal memory that can be further expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card. The device also features an 8MP autofocus rear camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and it’s connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi (with Wi-Fi Direct), as well as a microUSB port and a microSD card slot.
The other features of the smartphone include 2,000 mAh battery, that can be charged in 90 minutes with its 5V-2A charger, measure dimensions 137mm × 68mm × 8.95 mm and its weight is 126 gm. In its price range, Mirror 3 will compete against Gionee Elife S5.1 (Rs 17,900), Sony Xperia SP (Rs 15,699), Lenovo S820 (Rs 15,189), Nokia Lumia 730 (Rs 14,896), and Samsung I8552 – Galaxy Grand Quattro (Rs 13,899), among others.
In December 2014, Oppo had launched a 4G-enabled smartphone model named Oppo R5 at INR 29,990. Earlier last year, Oppo had announced its foray into Indian market with its flagship product Oppo N1 at around around INR 37,200. And has actors Hritik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor as its brand ambassadors in the country.
