Microsoft in an email to Outlook.com customers has declared its withdrawal from Facebook and Google Chat. As per Microsoft’s official statement, Google’s alteration in its chat service protocol is the main reason behind the discontinuation of the former’s support. However, there has been no mentioning as to why it is quitting Facebook.
Outlook has been known for assimilating individual chat services into one stream. However, given to the current situation, the only chat service that shall now be facilitated on Outlook.com would be Skype.
