To expand its reach in India, media crowdsourcing startup Springlead has raised $800,000 from Cross Border Angels and also plans to raise $3 million by April with the help of Cross Border Angels (CBA), as per an ET report. Till date, the firm has secured a total capital of $1.1 million.
Launched in 2012, New York based Springleap is a crowdsourced marketplace of creative professionals where brands and agencies can turn to for media solutions and consulting. It has built a global community of over 180,000 members and has touched $100,000 (Rs 62 lakh) in monthly revenue. The firm is backed by Crystal Bay Capital, Kevin Gaskell, Clearwater and Colenso Capital.
CBA is an international investment network that focuses on investing in cross border ventures, and actively supports its portfolio companies in expanding internationally. It plans to help Springleap set up shop in Mumbai within the next two to six months.
