Indian Online Matchmaking Startup Aisle Raises USD 100K in Seed Round

India based online matchmaking startup, Aisle, has closed USD 100,000 in its first round of funding with the help of TermSheet. Executives from different Internet companies in the Bay Area and India participated in this round including Anand Vijay of Microsoft and Shashank Mehrotra of Bigrock.

The company will use the funds to hire talent, brand-building and expanding into other products in the space they serve.

This Bangalore based startup was launched in July 2014 by Founder Able Joseph. It aims to innovate the online matrimonial space to give a platform to Indians to meet genuine people. It provides an online platform with a mobile app to meet like-minded people for dating and marriage purposes.

The company currently has over 4000 users from over 30 countries and is currently focused on Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai, with plans to extend their user base in other major cities in the country and in places with a concentration of NRI population.
