Engineers and startups, both seem hell bent on making the super-fast pod transit system, a reality. As reported by Mashable, a startup called Hyperloop Technologies is supporting the idea and the efforts behind this technology.
Hyperloop idea was first proposed by Elon Musk in 2013. It is a transit system that can travel as fast as 800 mph, moving people in vacuum-like tubes. In the first foray , this startup group wants to iti perfect their idea of ‘cargoloop’, designed for the transportation of goods and products. Eventually, as per their plan , they would be focussing on developing a similar transport service with the employment of the same technology , for humans. Hyperloop’s Board of Directors comprises of Shervin Pishevar as its Chairman, and the Co-Founder, David Sacks (Co-Chairman). Also, the former employees of SpaceX are a part of the Board.Elon Musk, the SpaceX founder tweeted in mid-January that he plans to build a test track to test out pods, most likely in Texas.
