India based GSF Accelerator is collaborating with Cisco Investments to launch an IoT and Cloud Accelerator Program in India for startups. Cisco is helping build the global IoT/Cloud ecosystem with companies and startups who will bring these products and solutions to reality.
The collaboration will help accelerate an ecosystem of applications, analytics and vertical solutions providers as well as device providers that can utilize Cisco’s infrastructure to develop real-life IoT use cases.
Applications for the program open from Feb 19 through March 10 and it starts from March 25, 2015. The accelerator will be based in Bangalore with a 4-week visit to the Silicon Valley, US. It will focus on IOT+Cloud Ventures in which both hardware and software platforms will be considered. Up to five startups will be short-listed for a 16-week program and GSF will provide $45,000 in funding to each of the selected startups. GSF has funded 33 startups in 3 batches since its inception in 2012.”With this tie-up with Cisco, we provide a unique and unparalleled proposition to the innovative Indian startups in the high potential sector of “Internet of Things” and Cloud computing,” said Rajesh Sawhney, Founder of GSF Accelerator.
“Cisco’s collaboration with GSF will help catalyze and accelerate the tremendous potential for innovation that startups in India offer with a focus on the Internet of Things and cloud,” said Amit Phadnis, President, Engineering and Cisco India Site Leader.
