Here are some of the new smartphones launched in the Consumer Electronics Show 2015.
LG G Flex 2
Last year at CES, LG released its G Flex smartphone and this year the company has released a new curved G Flex 2 smartphone that will come with a 5.5 inch 1080p screen and is powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor. The device features a 13 mega-pixel rear camera & 2.1 mega pixel front-facing camera, 3,000mAh battery, 2GB RAM, 16 and 32 GB internal memory options and supports Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. AT&T, Sprint and US cellular have announced the plans to sell it, there has been no news of its availability in India.
Acer Liquid Jade S
Acer has announced a successor to the Liquid Jade- the Liquid Jade S that will come with a 5 inch display with 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution and will be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Mediatek processor. The device also features a 3-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel selfie-cam, a 2GB RAM and supports Android KitKat, although Acer promises a Lollipop update. It will be for USD 360 and has 4G LTE connectivity option. Liquid Jade S will be going on sale in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa this month.
Asus Zenfone Zoom
Asus unveiled two new Zenfones- Zenfone 2 and Zenfone Zoom, both devices can pack as much as 128GB of built-in storage. Zenfone Zoom has a 5.5-inch 1080p screen that will be available in Q2 2015 in Meteorite black and Glacier white colors for USD 399. The device also features a a cameraphone with 3x optical zoom lens and equipped with a True Tone LED flash and laser focus.It runs at Android 5.0 operating system.
At CES Lenovo has unveiled a new device named- A6000 priced at USD 169 (INR 10,500 approximately), and will be launched in India later this month. It will come with a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, paired with 1GB of RAM and also includes 8GB internal storage. The device also features a 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, twin-speakers with Dolby Digital Plus technology and a 2,300mAh battery. It’s connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0. On the software front, the A6000 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat wrapped under Vibe UI 2.0.
HTC Desire 826
HTC launched Desire 826 smartphone with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset, Boomsound speakers, a 13-megapixel camera, and a UltraPixel selfie-cam on the front. The device runs at Android 5.0 Lollipop and also features a 2GB of RAM, 4MP front facing camera, a 2600 mAh non-removable battery and is to be released later in January 2015.
