On Saturday, at the TiE Hyderabad SmashUp event, five start-ups – Hostel Duniya, Enabli, Yo Grad, CBS and Play Your Sport, secured angel funding. Each start-up raised INR 10 lakh against 8 percent equity in the on-the-spot funding round at the SmashUp.
As per an ET report, the newly elected president of TiE Hyderabad Safir Adeni said that, “We are also looking at tapping into debt funding for mature startups and will look at ramping-up the five interest groups which TiE Hyderabad had formed last year – in the field of technology and services, defense and manufacturing, healthcare and life sciences, education and skill development and clean technology.”
Here are the five startups which raised the funding at TiE SmashUp
Hostel Duniya: Hyderabad-based online hostel and paying guest accommodation aggregator, Hostel Duniya provides the complete information about the hostels like facilities, food menus, address, pictures, reviews and ratings. It also provides comparisons between hostels to get a better hostel at relevant price. In the event, the firm found the eight backers among the panel of ten investors.
Enabli: Social-media based lead generator for local businesses and services. Enabli helps small businesses to find prospective customers from social conversations. The firm understands social conversations and filters out leads from them. Businesses can subscribe these leads and help consumers with their services. It has also received angel funding from three angel networks and six early stage funds.
Yo Grad: Yo Grad is a collaborative platform for college students to explore, experience and enhance their skills. It is a community for students to network, learn & share, find job opportunities, internships, student ambassador programs and even fresher jobs.
CBS: It is a device communication start-up which helps to fetch data from different devices .
Play Your Sport: Location-based sports and fitness services aggregator, Play Your Sport provides a social platform to interact and play with like minded people. It connects sport businesses with their targeted audience.
