Myntra Shuts Down Right Before End Of Reason Sale


Myntra shuts down its store temporarily just before its highly marketed End Of Reason Sale which is scheduled to start on 3rd January 8 AM.

Although usually, it has been seen that Indian e-commerce sites crash on the days of such sales, particularly Myntra’s foster parent Flipkart, in this case it was a planned move. However it was an unexpected one as well since even in case of GOSF, sites switch their discounts almost seamlessly, so what is Myntra keeping behind the curtains?

Here is one of the TV commercials it has been running.

Speaking about the ‘End of Reason Sale’, Prasad Kompalli, Chief Revenue Officer & Head of Sales & Marketing, Myntra, said “Through EORS we will break away from the traditional End of Season Saleformat which usually last for 6-7 weeks and crunch it into two days where shoppers can avail the best offashion from the widest catalogue at amazing offers. With EORS, we will create India’s Biggest FashionSale ever.”

Will this sale be as big as the money that has been put in for its marketing? Or will it be another Big Billion Day like event?

    Worst worst worst worst experience from myntra….. If they can’t handle the rush day….. Myntra should shut down for ever…….

    It is surprising if Indian eCommerce companies are not keeping technology on their priority list while utilizing the ABCDEFGH rounds of funds.. are they really “eCommerce” companies

    or trying to be retailers?

    Extremely Pathetic Shopping Experience, not sure if the team was prepared for this as they expect users to wait for 30 minutes and the breakdown is worst that a user could experience…
