After unveiling Mi Note and Mi Note Pro at an event in Beijing, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has now launched Mi 4 smartphone in Indian market for INR 19,999, to be available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart. The device will go on sale on February 10, 2015 and pre-registrations for the smartphone will begin at 6 pm on Thursday.
The Mi 4 smartphone will come with a 5 inch full HD IPS LCD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution, it will be powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM and will come with a non-expandable 16GB internal memory. The device also features a 3,080mAh battery, 13 megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED Flash, 8 MP front facing camera and camera also include geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama, and High Dynamic Range (HDR), among others.
In December 2014, Xiaomi had raised USD 1.1 billion funding at a valuation of USD 45 billion led by a group of investors including All-Stars Investment, DST, GIC, Hopu Fund and Yunfeng Capital among others. Around the same time, the company claimed to have sold a million smartphones in India with in five month of launch in the country.
