SVG Media, Indian digital media network, has acquired India and South East Asia’s mobile video technology platform SeventyNine and Performance display platform NetworkPlay from a unit of Bertelsmann Group, Gruner+Jahr. In 2012, SeventyNine was acquired by Network Play for a deal amount of USD 7 million.
Post the acquisition, SVG Media is aiming to become the largest advertising technology company in India with over 8 percent market share of digital media. It claims to be now reaching over 100 Million Internet users on mobile and PC.
SeventyNine and NetworkPlay will now work as independent brands along with SVG Media’s other AdTech platforms Tyroo, DGM and PrecisionMatch. Networkplay is associated with over 700 publishers and 300 advertisers and had acquired advertising platform yoCAPTCHA last year.
