Indian Startup BookMeds Raises USD 100K in Angel Funding from Fabella Singapore


BookMEDS, an online healthcare company for medicines and medical products, has secured USD 100,000 in angel funding from a private investor- Fabella Singapore Pvt Ltd. The new funding will be used to boost its sales and marketing.

“To make BookMeds a household name in Hyderabad, we’ve reached out to 3 investors whom we knew were thrilled by the idea, we were very delighted to quickly raise the angel round from Fabella Singapore Pvt Ltd” said founder, Mohammed Abubakr, BookMEDS.

Madhapur-based, BookMEDS is focused on the Hyderabad market, but plans to expand to other cities across India soon. It allows customers to order prescriptive and non-prescriptive medicines as well as surgical & medical products from the convenience of their home. The company delivers medicines from qualified and trained pharmacist to customer’s doorstep within twenty four hours. The other companies like HealthKart, Healthgenie, MedPlus and Apollo pharmacy are also offering similar kind of services.

Fabella Singapore helps start-ups that are in early stage of incubation through funding, advisory, market knowledge & ideas. It also helps start-ups to grow and expand its markets and reach.
