Reliance Industries retail arm Reliance Retail has launched a website- RelianceFreshDirect to deliver grocery products in some neighborhoods of Mumbai.
The site is expected to offer fruits & vegetables, dairy products, groceries, packaged food, Drinks, confectionery items, Household and personal care products to the residents of Navi Mumbai, South Mumbai and parts of Thane.
As per a Medianama report, Reliance Retail had carried out a pilot project at the Reliance Corporate Park office in Navi Mumbai where around 10,000 employees availed its facilities through the website. To use the service, customers need to first register on the website then company delivers the products to them either from the nearest Reliance Store or via its other distribution channels.
The website also have a ‘My List’ feature to save a personal list of products and deliveries are free for orders above INR 750. Reliance Fresh Direct offers payment options both online (Credit/Debit cards/Net Banking) and offline (CoD). As for the return, exchange and refund policy, currently it has a “no questions asked return policy” and amount is refunded via credit, store credit account, or through the payment method used by the user. The company does not make any cash refunds. The other details like when it will extend its services to other cities across India, are still undisclosed.
