Software-defined networking (SDN) analytics platform, Arkin Net has raised USD 7 million funding led by Nexus Venture Partners with participation from NetScaler Ex-CEO B.V. Jagadeesh, Illumio CCO Alan Cohen and angel investor Semil Shah. The company aims to revolutionize the SDN market that is expected to be USD 8 billion by 2018.
The company was launched last year for building multi-vendor SDN operations platform to transform how enterprises operate their software-defined data centers. The Arkin Net platform will enable enterprises to analyze, visualize and share operational data as a Google search. It is refining its platform to prepare for a product launch.
The enterprise SDN analytics platform is a user interface based on natural language search to analyze and troubleshoot end-to-end network infrastructure. The company said that it’s product, the Arkin Net Enterprise SDN Analytics Platform have the ability to bridge the gap between virtualization and networking teams because all would be using the same product for networking operations.
