California-based food delivery service provider, Fluc (Food Lovers United Corp) has secured USD 2.3 million in seed funding from Sherpa Ventures, WI Harper, Charlie Cheever, Blake Ross, Zhou Hongyi, and other angels.
As per a TechCrunch report, the new funding will be utilized to expand its offering and keep moving into new markets. Launched in 2013, as a venture of co-founders Francisco Magdaleno, Tim Davis and Adam Ahmad. It provides a social marketplace for consumers to order food online and get it delivered. Fluc connects consumer to 1000’s of local restaurants to order their favorite food whenever they desire it.
Based on the venue and location where items need to be delivered, Fluc seeks to optimize driver routes to enable them to “stack” multiple orders in an efficient manner. The company calls its logistics technology ‘The Oracle’ and its co-founder Tim Davis said the backend platform can typically predict a driver’s moves up to 3-5 deliveries ahead of where they currently are at any given time.
