Flipkart has announced the launch of the ‘Flipkart Fashion Files’, a lifestyle content page curated by the Conde Nast Group to create quality fashion content for its customers.
The content destination will will host a range of fashion diva/celebrity interviews, trend boards, brand and product stories along with lifestyle articles. Bollywood actor, Ileana D’Cruz will be the face of ‘Flipkart Fashion Files’ for the month of November.
The initiative has been taken up under the leadership of Mukesh Bansal, Head – Fashion (Flipkart), who as the Chief Executive Officer of Myntra had also been involved in launching the fashion blog for the online fashion retailer. It seems that Myntra’s team is trying to recreate its model for Flipkart’s fashion segment.

An year back, Conde Nast had planned to enter the eCommerce industry to explore new opportunities in the internet sector. However, there was no further news from the company in this matter. And now we read the international brand Conde Nast tying up with Flipkart, an eCommerce company. Content+Commerce model has proved to be an effective model to engage customers, Myntra and Limeroad are two examples of it. Will the international publishing house try the same too?
