VentureNursery’s Angels Invest in HotelsAroundYou


VentureNursery, Indian angel-backed start-up accelerator has announced a seed investment by its angels in HotelsAroundYou, a service provider that allows customers to book quality hotels room at a best price.

HotelsAroundYou has raised an undisclosed amount from VentureNursery’s Angels including Amit Patni, Anand Ladsariya, Arif Ali, Arihant Patni, Bharat Banka, Samir Shah, Neeraj Goenka, Ravi Kiran, Sanjay Mehta, Shravan Shroff, Vishal Maheshwari and Bhanu Chopra. Also, it was a graduate of VentureNursery’s 5th Acceleration Program which concluded in August this year.

Launched to help both customers and hotels alike, the platform connects last minute travelers with hotels looking to sell their unsold inventory. HotelsAroundYou launched their website earlier this year and the iOS mobile application more recently, which can be downloaded in the App Store. The Android mobile application is expected to be available soon. Having launched the service in Mumbai with an increasing stream of partner hotels, they are planning to expand to other cities soon.

It is founded by Mohsin from University of California, Animesh from Mumbai University and Harsha, an MBA graduate from the Indian School of Business.

VentureNursery was established in March 2012 by angel investor Shravan Shroff, Founder and former MD, Fame Cinemas and Ravi Kiran, former CEO South East & South Asia, Asia, Starcom MediaVest Group and Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Friends of Ambition.

Earlier, it has made an investment of INR 50 lakhs in and an undisclosed amount in  Interview Master. VentureNursery focuses on six sectors like Media & Entertainment, e-Commerce, Retail, Consumer Technology, Education and Clean Tech.
