Drubbing all the rumours around its feasibility and the unanimous love and support cricket enjoyed over the past decades. The inaugural edition of Indian Super League certainly seems to have lived up to the expectations of the football loving fans in the country. They have wholeheartedly welcomed this league and showed their enthusiasm openly on social media as well. Check these interesting reactions

Stars, Entertainment, Glamour, Indian super league (ISL) has all the right mix of ingredients to promote football in India at a larger level. Featuring 8 City-based teams, the league promises to revolutionize the sport and offer global exposure for our local football heroes. Presence of Bollywood stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bacchan, John Abraham and some cricket big-shots like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly on the ground will surely add more interest and will work as a crowd puller.

The organizers have also roped in star players like Alessandro Del Piero, Robert Pires, Freddie Ljungberg, Luis Garcia to add more value and star attention to this highly anticipated league. Italian World Cup Winner Marco Materazzi joined Chennai as player manager whereas; the Brazillian football legend Zico will manage Mumbai and Goa respectively.

Jerome Valcke, the Secretary General of FIFA said “India has a lot of potential and ISL will work as a helping hand to develop football culture in the country.”  He further says “We have given a huge responsibility to India to organize Under-17 World Cup in 2017 which is a huge milestone in its own.”

 

With 8 crore rupees money pot for the winner of the league, “the beautiful game” is all set to embark a new tale in the Indian football history, which will surely leave many awestruck and totally hypnotized in this 10-week long euphoria. Now we can actually say Come on India, Let’s Football.
