Happy New Year, one of the much-awaited movies of the year was released on Friday. Directed by Farah Khan and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the movie has been distributed worldwide by Yash Raj Films. The movie features Bollywood stalwarts like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Sonu Sood, Vivaan Shah and Anupam Kher. Living much to the hype, the SRK-starrer has raked in 44.97 crore on the first day, the highest for any Bollywood film till date.
After topping all the charts this weekend, the movie is creating a lot of buzz on social media as well. After crossing 3 million likes on Facebook, the movie now trends at the top spot on Twitter.

Despite record-breaking collections, the movie has garnered fair amount of criticism on the grounds of having a weak script and an illogical story. There is an online feud between the SRK fans and the people who didn’t like the movie.
