DIY E-Commerce Platform KartRocket Raises USD 2M in Series A

krE-commerce enabler platform KartRocket, which was launched by Delhi Based Startup BigFoot Retail Solutions in 2012, has raised USD 2 million in Series A funding round in a round led by Nirvana Venture Advisors, with participation from existing backer, 500Startups and Japan-based Beenos.

The team aims to use the raised funds for building further feature sets for cataloging, discovery etc. and for expanding its presence in Tier II and Tier III cities.

GautamKapoor, COO and Co-founder, said “There’s a huge untapped market opportunity in India in this space, and the funds raised will help us amplify our reach across the country. We’re confident of acquiring 10,000 paying customers in one year from today”

The company had earlier raised a seed round of funding from 5ideas Startup Superfuel, 500Startups and angel investor Jatin Aneja in July last year.

Over a period of an year, KartRocket has grown from 100 customers to 1900. It competes directly with Shopify, Zepo, Powerstores, Build a Bazaar, Martjack and the likes, and boasts of clients including Da Milano, Uni Style Image, Valyoo Technologies, TantraTshirts etc. in its portfolio.
