New Delhi-based startup, AdPushup that provides A/B testing of ads has secured USD 632,000 in angel round of funding led by Kima Ventures, Paras Chopra (Founder, Wingify/VWO), Amit Ranjan (Co-founder, SlideShare). The other investors such as LinkedIn director of technology Jonathan Boutelle, Yahoo principal data engineer and architect Sachin Arora, Avlesh Singh, CouponDunia Founder Sameer Parwani, Zishaan Hayath, Krishna Jha, Ashim Mehra, Ravi Srivastava, Subham Gupta, Vikram Kapur, and Sunil Kalra also participated in the round.
As per Tech Crunch report, AdPushup took all commits on startup funding site LetsVenture, which enables startups looking to raise seed/angel money to create investment ready profiles online and connect to accredited Investors.
AdPushup’s A/B testing platform allows web publishers and bloggers to check which ad can make most of the revenue after creating and testing different ads placements, size and types. The company claims to have 100 million monthly impressions and also has an average RPM (Revenue per thousand impressions) uplift/ improvement per participating website is 68 percent.
“While we have a lot of startups using A/B testing for conversion rate optimization, they don’t integrate with ad networks and are not built for web publishers. In their algorithms, they use vanilla A/B testing, which doesn’t suit this use case,” said Ankit Oberoi, co-founder of AdPushup. “This is why we call our solution advanced A/B testing (our proprietary patent pending multi-arm bandit solution to be accurate)—a machine learning algorithm, which learn and fight banner blindness, a problem which requires continuous optimization.”
