Apple has officially confirmed October 17 as the date for availability for the new iPhone models – iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in India. The price of the devices is still undisclosed by the company, but pricing details is expected to soon made available by Apple’s partners: Ingram Micro, Redington, Rashi Peripherals and Reliance. The customers can pre-order the devices starting this week, from Tuesday, October 7.
However NDTV Gadgets reports, the iPhone 6 16GB variant will be available in India at a price of Rs. 53,500, while the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus will start at Rs. 62,500.
According to its latest quarterly earning report, Apple sold 35.20 million iPhones, 13.27 million iPads, 4.41 million Macs and 2.96 million iPods. For its newly launched iPhones, it received over 4 million pre-orders within 24 hours, and opening weekend sales topped 10 million.
Apart from this, The Cupertino, California-based company, Apple Inc is planning to unveil a 12.9-inch version of its iPad in early 2015.
