Mobile App Blinkist Comes to Android

Blinkist has finally arrived on Android, previously it was available on the Web and iOS app store, as per The Next Web report. It offers abridged, ‘condensed’ versions of non-fiction titles for easy reading.


Users can add new things by category to their reading list and it shows timing in the top right-hand corner as how long it should take to finish.

It offers many different varieties and genres of books. After 3-day trial period, Berlin-based company charges $7.99 (USD) €6.99 (EUR)/£5.49 (GBP) per month; $14.99 (USD)/€13.99 (EUR)/£10.49 (GBP) a quarter; or $49.99 (USD)/€44.99 (EUR)/£34.99 (GBP) annually to use its services. Payment will be charged via Google Wallet at confirmation of purchase.

At present, the company claims to have 140,000 registered users downloaded more than 1.5 million books since its inception in Germany in early 2013.

    In May 2015, Google reported that it received more search queries on mobile devices than on desktop devices. The shift has incentivized Google to reward websites that render well on mobile devices. App development companies are scaling up their infrastrcture and delivivery capability to meet up the demand.
