Property listing portal Housing.com is in talks to raise USD 30 million from new and existing investors, Tybourne Capital and Russian venture capitalist Yuri Milner. The company aims to utilize the raised funds for acquisitions, hiring talent, building technology and increasing branding and marketing activities.
As per ET report, Yuri Milner is looking to expand his fund’s portfolio in India and has backed companies like Facebook, Twitter and, most recently, Flipkart. But, Both the investors didn’t disclosed any details yet.
Till date, the firm had raised three rounds of investment viz. USD 19 million led by Helion Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures and Nexus Venture Partners, USD 18 million by Helion Ventures and USD 2.5 million seed funding from Nexus Venture Partners. This takes the total funding raised by the firm to date to around USD 39.5 million.
Launched in 2012, Housing.com is a map based real estate search portal. The firm was set up by a group of 12 graduates from IIT Bombay. It aims to simplify finding, renting and selling homes in India. With an approach rooted in technology and accurate data, the company claimed to have taken a route less travelled in Indian real estate industry.
