Apple and Google are the most valuable brands in the world – worth nearly USD 117 billion and USD 107 billion respectively – according to analysis conducted by The Telegraph. Even with its limited product portfolio, Apple still beats Google in terms of brands valuation.
As per the data collected from three media agencies, namely Millward Brown, Interbrand and Brand Finance, in the list of the top brands globally, 7 out of 10 are technology companies. Check out the infographic below to see how others fare.
Technology company IBM’s worth is USD 76bn, while Microsoft and Coca-Cola round out the top five having worth USD 71bn and USD 65bn respectively. The Telegraph only included those companies that were included in all three annual surveys by the respective agencies mentioned above
Telegraph states However, there was some variance in the value of smaller brands. For example, Millward Brown calculated that Facebook owned the 21st most valuable brand in the world – worth around $36bn – but Interbrand ranked the social media company’s brand 52nd and worth under $8bn, while Brand Finance ranked it 122nd..
