Snapdeal and Tata Come Together to Offer Homes with INR 30,000 Booking Fee

In a new kind of partnership, Snapdeal and Tata Value Homes have shaken hands to start the real estate vertical of the eCommerce company. One can book pre-built houses starting from Rs 31 lakh across seven locations, namely Bengaluru, two locations in Chennai, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and two locations in Pune, for an initial booking amount of Rs 30,000 on Snapdeal.

Tata Value Homes sold about 600 apartments this year, it can be assumed that due to the larger reach and visibility of its new eCommerce partner, its looking to grow its business. The bookings open on 28th August, and TVH assures a rent of INR 10,000/- per month for an year.

As per a report by Firstpost, the housing company will enlist 1000 apartments on Snapdeal, one can book a 1BHK, 2BHK or 3 BHK apartment at any of the seven locations. The booking amount is non-refundable, and needs to be paid only after the customer has agreed to the entire payment plan. Prices start at Rs 31 lakh and go up to Rs 70 lakh.

Earlier this month, there was a speculation of Ratan Tata planning to invest in Snapdeal but there was no confirmation from either parties. However the Tata Sons Chairman was said to be visiting the former’s office, so was this the what the leaders of the two companies talking about?
